I recently visited Disneyland Paris (18th-24th October 2021) and we were lucky enough to get a reservation at the Manhattan Restaurant.
About Manhattan Restaurant

Manhattan is located inside the renewly-opened Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel. It’s marketed as a higher-end, fine dining experience under the chandelier of Asgard (which is seriously impressive!). The food is listed as “contemporary Italian”.
Unfortunately I got carried away in the excitement and theming to take many pictures inside the restaurant, however Mouse Steps have taken some fabulous ones and I highly recommend checking out their review.
The Food
I visited with my girlfriend Amy, and for once we ordered different meals – so I’m able to share opinions on a range of their dishes!
As soon as we sat down, we were given some bread and olive oil (for dipping) . The bread was fresh and warm. I swear no one does bread better than the French!
Starters
Top: I ordered Minestrone soup, which I enjoyed. It’s hard to go wrong with soup!
Bottom: Amy got parma ham with fruit mustard and Tigelle, which is a type of flatbread. It was a cold starter, so not very complex. We liked the ham. The Tigelle was interesting, it was more like a pancake but it had a bit of sweet kick to it. Unfortunately neither of us could stomach the fruit mustard.
“Not inedible but it didn’t ‘wow’ me” – Amy
Main Courses
For my main course, I got chicken wrapped in ham in sage sauce. I couldn’t fault it at all, the chicken was really moist and flavourful.
My main course came with a choice of side – and the choices were:
- Roast potatoes
- Grilled seasonal vegetables
- Fried Polenta
- Seasonal salad
I love vegetables so I opted for those. They’re served in, again, oil – so it may be one to avoid if you don’t love your food covered in oil – but I really liked them and would order again!
Amy ordered the lasagne. She said the lasagne sheets tasted “rustic” – they were thick and chewy, which is probably an authentic Italian recipe – but perhaps not what we’re used to! It was also slightly burnt round the edges as you can see from the photo.
The bechamel sauce felt a bit heavy, but overall it was good and the portion size was huge.
Desserts
We both got tiramisu for dessert, this was probably my favourite part of the meal. It was my birthday while we were there, so our server very kindly put a little candle in my tiramisu and it made my night. It’s the little things, friends!

The Price
We ordered a 3-course meal from the Greenwich Village menu which was €42.00 per person and included a starter, main course and dessert. There was an option to upgrade the menu (€62.00) and have wine included, but we just weren’t feeling wine that night!
Overall I thought it was good value for money because I enjoyed the food, and the theming/atmosphere definitely made me feel like I was in a high-end restaurant in New York.
How to Book
You can book a meal at Manhattan Restaurant using the official Disneyland Paris app, or you can call the dining reservations number: +33 1 60 30 40 50 (international call rates apply).
You can also ask your hotel concierge or Guest Services in the parks (City Hall in Disneyland Park, Guest Services in Walt Disney Studios) to reserve a table for you, but this will be subject to availability.
Our Top Tips
- Book in advance! Both restaurants in Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel are extremely popular and reservations fill up quickly.
- If you haven’t been able to get a reservation for your dates – keep checking the app right up until the day you want to go – you may be able to grab a last-minute cancellation.
Overall
I enjoyed the food and the overall experience a lot. Amy enjoyed the experience but would order differently next time. We would definitely consider eating at Manhattan on future trips, but it probably wouldn’t be top of our list.
Our server was absolutely excellent, her name was Chloe and we sent her a #CastCompliment via Twitter afterwards.
Again, I highly recommend ensuring that you have a reservation for this restaurant so that you’re not left disappointed on the day.
Have you ever been to Manhattan? What did you think of the overall experience? I’d love to hear from you!
